The EDGE Marketing program makes it easy for you to select from a variety of professionally designed advertisements, choose the criteria for customers to whom the personalized ads will be mailed, preview the mailing list before the order is placed, select and deselect certain customers, and then send the order to our online printer.
Below is a quick reference guide to placing your personalized ad order. For more detailed instructions, click here.
Placing a Postcard Order
Just as in the Account Setup phase, to place an order, click on the CUSTOMER section of the EDGE, and then select POSTCARDS.
Selecting a Postcard Design
The "Postcard Design" drop-down field allows you to pick from a list of available designs.
Selecting Postcard Class
The "Postage Class" drop-down field allows you to pick from the list of available postage options.

Keep in mind, Pre-Sort First Class is recommended for time sensitive orders like Anniversary, Birthday, and Thank You cards. Pre-Sort Standard should be used only when placing orders that do not require a timely delivery.
Specifying Customer Criteria
To specify which customers should receive the postcard, click the "pull-down" button on the "Customer Criteria" field where you will see the familiar customer criteria screen. The "General" tab might be useful to send to a specific city or zip code, but the "Results" tab enables you to specify the manner in which the postcards should be addressed.

Previewing the Mailing List

Check the "Edit results before generating output" checkbox to preview and modify the mailing list before the order is actually placed. Then, when you click OK, you will see the following screen.

By default, this screen comes up with none of the customers "checked." You may either check them one by one, or click "Check All" to check all of the customers, then uncheck some if you wish.
Notice that, for your convenience, those lines that represent a gender guess have been tinted green.
If you request a specific gender, but also select the option whereby the primary or secondary account holder will be used if the gender does not match, then the lines on this list that represent gender mismatches will be tinted yellow.
TIP: Print this list for your records before clicking OK.
When you are satisfied with the list as a whole, click Cancel to return to the criteria screen.
Confirming the Order
If you click OK on the "customer list preview" screen, or if you opted not to preview the list and clicked OK on the "send postcards" screen, you will then be asked to confirm your order...

The Order is Transmitted
After you confirm your order, you will see a series of progress screens that will transition through several phases. Some phases might be completed too quickly to read.
After the progress screen displays and closes, your order has been successfully placed, and you will see a confirmation screen. There will be no email confirmation.

If some error occurs, for example if your Internet connection is lost during the transfer, then you will not see the above confirmation screen, but see a print error screen. Your order will not be placed, and your credit card will not be charged.
